I wasn't really imagining anythign grand. I saw that standee and knew it would be pretty poor.. but the person in the standee isn't even doing anything vaguely interesting. I'm saying its even more drab than I thought it would be.
I liked the Factions collectors, still using that mouse mat.

Lol, I love it how the US players are complaining that they don't have theirs yet... It is what, a week before release, some people got lucky. Some of us might not even manage the game on or by the release date. I think US players have very little to worry about.

Awesome! I was right about the Dervish skill though. I used photoshop to lighten the first photo's and could make it out a bit better and was compairing it to the skill images on Wiki. Love the poster. The art book looks cool. I honestly really want to watch the DVD.

Pfff the US is turning into the real Galactic Empire. Like people have previously said..they are afraid of trouble (truth) so they wont release early. Where is Eminem we need him for a new song "The Real Darth Vader". I live in the US i should know...
But anyway CE looks GREAT cant wait for mine!

I just looked through wiki's quick reference list that displays all the skill icons at once to find the pins. The pics really weren't that dark.

As long as I get another artbook I'll be fine. Also if the CE starts appearing in US stores somebody please let me know
Oh and those skills are definetly "Its Just a Flesh Wound" and Vow of Silence

No one should be too disappointed/suprised about the stand-in's because if you looked around guru a bit there were some posts complete with pictures of the stand-ins that were released as a part of a special Factions event in Tokyo or something like that (the assassin) and Arenanet staff mentioning the new stand-ins for collectors would be just like those (this was at least a month or two ago)
They mentioned a cardboard "stand-in", & never once a figurine or anything like that.
Overall though I still think its a great package.. I always appreciate the bonus musictracks and the map especially

Yeah, I've only heard the term "standee" used to mean "flat cardboard or cardstock picture which stands up" and they probably would've used the term "model", "figurine", "miniature" (without the in-game qualifier) or, if they wanted to be really fancy, "statuette". They even specified that it was a fold-out standee.
Is there any chance we can get a list of the town, mission and explorable names, or, better yet, some higher res and / or closer up photos of the maps?

I browse the websites of ncsoft employee's and a-nets as well. I read on one that the nightfall cinematic was cancelled. I cried myself to sleep that night (well, not really, but I was definitly sad!).
Edit: What I'd like to know is, are the "Nightfall signature dances for your characters"* available to all professions? or just paragon and dervish?
*taken from offical site!

^Wait til Friday and I'm sure someone will tell you soon.
I still think it might be just more backup dancers like Factions...

I hope the Paragon and Dervish get Divine Auras, when people complained about it during the WPE the way Gaile responded has me worried.
Also Divine Aura > Back up Dancers. I really hope Nightfall does something that is on all emotes, the Factions back up dancers get obnoxious after a while.

Gaile confirmed that DA will be applied to Nightfall professions...
about Nightfall CE emote - i am worried, that AGAIN it will be applied just at P/D which is unfair, while DA is now at 10 characters... :/

Mmm. I don't like the font used on the skill pins.
Other than that, I wonder if it's too late to upgrade my preorder?
(Once I check if it's still only $10 extra here in Canada)

The backup dancers in Factions take a lot more time and effort than applying the Divine Aura to new professions. Those dancers need artwork created and animations developed, and that all takes time.

I am glad to see the contents of the Nightfall CE box so I can really make sure I want to pay $70 for it or just get the regular box. I kind of disappointed that alot of UK stores are either shipping or selling there copies already and yet the US stores are holding out until release date on the 27th which to me seems abit unfair. Lucky I took the day off from work and can get to the stores early before the rush of the daily working traffic. I just hope that next time there is a release that everyone is in sync both UK and US.
